The German Football Federation announced, this Thursday, the change of its sporting equipment supplier. From 2027, Germany’s national teams will wear Nike, ending a partnership lasting more than 70 years with adidas.
Initially, the contract with the North American brand runs until 2034 and will cover all categories of the German team.
“We look forward to working with Nike and the trust placed in us. The future partnership will allow us to continue to carry out important tasks over the next decade, pursuing the comprehensive development of football in Germany,” said federation president Bernd Neuendorf in the official announcement.

The change of sponsor marks the end of the partnership between Germany and adidas. The German brand has supplied sporting materials to the national team since 1954.
The Germans have worn adidas kits in all four of their World Cup victories.
Bernd Neuendorf commented on the agreement with the former supplier. “But one thing is also clear: by December 2026 we will do everything in our power to achieve shared success with our current and long-term partner, adidas, to whom German football owes much for more than seven decades.”
The brand with the three stripes will still dress the four-time world champions in the 2024 Euro Cup and the 2026 World Cup.
Germany will hold two friendlies on this FIFA date. The first is against France this Saturday, at 5pm (Brasília time) and then faces the Netherlands, at 4:45pm, next Tuesday.
