General Secretary of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Maxim Mitrofanov announced the date of the friendly match with the Belarusian team. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The official noted that the game will take place on June 8. Earlier, the head of the RFU, Alexander Dyukov, announced an agreement with the Belarusians. He emphasized that the game would take place in Minsk.
In March, the Russian national team is scheduled to play two friendly matches in Moscow. On March 21, Valery Karpin’s team plays with Serbia in Moscow. At the time of publication of the news, there was a break in the match, the Russians were leading with a score of 2:0. Four days later, the Russian team will meet with Paraguay.
Russian football clubs and national teams do not take part in international tournaments by decision of the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations.
