Golovin will play from the first minutes in the Russian national team in the match with Serbia
The coaching staff of the Russian national team, led by Valery Karpin, named the team’s starting lineup for the friendly match with Serbia. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the national team.
Matvey Safonov will take his place in goal from the first minutes. Daniil Khlusevich, Maxim Osipenko, Sergei Volkov, Alexander Silyanov, Anton Miranchuk, Daniil Glebov, Dmitry Barinov, Konstantin Tyukavin, Ivan Oblyakov and Alexander Golovin will play in the field. The latter will lead the team onto the field with the captain’s armband.
The meeting will take place on March 21 at the VTB Arena stadium in Moscow. The start is scheduled for 20:00 Moscow time. Earlier, the Russian Football Union (RFU) reported that all tickets for the game had been sold.
Russian football clubs and national teams do not take part in international tournaments by decision of the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations.
