Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova recorded a video during ankle surgery. She published the video on her Telegram channel.
“The most unexpected vlog in my life or “dont vorri, bi happy,” the 19-year-old athlete captioned a video of herself lying on the operating table. “They blocked the view and didn’t allow me to look at my leg. Everything is fine. They brought me a photograph and an x-ray. And what can you see on it? Did they make me a new bundle? What a beauty!” – she said.
The skater was operated on on March 20. She also previously had knee surgery, causing her to miss the 2022/2023 season.
Shcherbakova is the winner of the 2022 Games gold in the individual tournament. She also has one victory each at the individual and team world championships, three victories at the Russian championship and two silver medals at the European championship. She has not competed since the summer of 2022.
