On Wednesday, March 20, the following people sat in the Republika Television studio: Sławomir Ćwik from Poland 2050, Jan Kanthak from Sovereign Poland, PiS MEP Dominik Tarczyński and senator and chairman of the Labor Union Waldemar Witkowski. One of the topics of the conversation was the announcement that President Glapiński would be brought before the State Tribunal.
The Republika TV presenter was speechless after Senator Witkowski’s words: “Hello, this is Earth!”
At one point, Katarzyna Gójska asked Senator Witkowski what crimes he believed the president of the NBP had committed. The Chairman of the Labor Union drew attention to the quality of printing of the new 200 and 500 zloty banknotes. “Mr. President Glapiński is responsible for printing money. Please take denominations of PLN 500 or PLN 200 from the bank – three more. They are printed so hastily and sloppily that they do not comply with the standard,” said the senator, and the amused MPs held their heads. .
The host of Republika TV also did not hide her surprise: “So what should President Glapiński be accused of? That he prints money contrary to the pattern?” – she asked Waldemar Witkowski. “He takes personal responsibility for this,” the senator continued, taking as an example a situation in which a cashier detects irregularities in a banknote passed in a store. Katarzyna Gójska asked what shortcomings in the printout the chairman of the Labor Union had in mind. So Witkowski mentioned colors, to which the host blurted out: “Hello, this is Earth!”, unable to stop laughing.
