Portal Transfermarkt resets the market value of convicted Quincy Promes

The Transfermarkt portal has reset the market value of Spartak Moscow legionnaire Quincy Promes, who was convicted in the Netherlands.

“It remains to be seen whether Quincy will be able to resume his playing career and regain his market value in the future,” the website states. In December last year, the Dutchman was valued at six million euros.

The portal also named the most expensive football players in the Russian Premier League (RPL). The first place is occupied by the Brazilian midfielder of Zenit Wendel, whose value is estimated at 22 million euros. He is followed by teammate Clauddinho, as well as Krasnodar players Eduard Spertsyan and Matvey Safonov. All three are valued at 18 million euros.

On March 13, Promes was arrested in Dubai at the request of the Dutch prosecutor’s office. The detention was related to the possibility of further extradition of the football player to the country. On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes in absentia to six years in prison for drug smuggling. In the summer of 2023, he received 18 months in prison in his homeland for attacking his brother with a knife.
