(Video) It was an initiative of the children and heirs of Maradona, who wanted to get rid of items and goods that generated expenses.
The company that organized yesterday, Sunday, an auction of goods that belonged to the late Diego Maradona extended the auction for ten business days this Monday due to the lack of bids for higher value items.
On its website, the company assured that “it will be authorized for the next 10 business days that any entity, person, company that wishes to bid for the vacant lots can do so, duly accrediting its corresponding guarantee.”
The decision was made, they argue, due to “the number of national and international bidders who have not come to comply with the proper registration before the agreed date for the closing of the qualifications (Saturday, December 18).”
Hats, guitars, T-shirts and paintings, among other items, that belonged to the soccer star were auctioned but the most valuable goods, two apartments and several cars, did not receive any offers.
The stellar asset of the auction was a house located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Devoto where the parents of the world champion lived: Dalma Salvadora Franco (Doña Tota) and Diego Maradona (Don Diego).
Although the price started at $ 900,000, no participant wanted to fight for the house of ‘Ten’ and it ended up being vacant.
Another of the properties that ended without bids was an apartment located on the coast of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires province, which started at $ 65,000 and for which there were no bids.
The auction was an initiative of Maradona’s children and heirs, who wanted to get rid of items and goods that generated expenses or that they could not save. (D)
