Russian Daniil Medvedev had a fight with Dane Holger Rune during the 1/4 finals of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Indian Wells, America. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

At the beginning of the second set, the Russian athlete went to the net during a rally, and his opponent deliberately sent the ball to Medvedev’s body with a strong blow. He managed to substitute the racket.

After the end of the rally, the Russian demanded an apology from his opponent, he also turned to the judge and showed Runa with a gesture that he was watching him. There was no response. After the game, Medvedev again demanded an apology from the Dane, who convinced the tennis player that he had brought one. After this, the Russian apologized himself.

The meeting took place earlier on March 15. Medvedev won (7:5, 6:4) and reached the semifinals of the tournament.
