Physical training coach of Odessa Chernomorets Kasyanenko did not return from Turkey
The physical training coach of the Odessa football club “Chernomorets” Igor Kasyanenko decided not to return to Ukraine from the training camp in Turkey. This was reported on the team’s website.
The specialist had a ticket to Chisinau from Antalya, but he did not show up at the airport. Chernomorets condemned Kasyanenko’s act.
“There is no way to influence such a decision, although there was an attempt at adequate dialogue on the part of the club. In response, they were confronted with a person’s dishonesty,” the statement said.
Chernomorets added that they could influence Kasyanenko’s future career. “The management has initiated the process of revoking his coaching license,” the club warned.
Last November, it was reported that 309 athletes and coaches who left Ukraine after February 24, 2022, did not return to the country. It was clarified that the number of athletes and specialists who fled was 3.41 percent of all those who left Ukraine to represent the country at international competitions and participate in training camps.
