Drogina recommended doing a plank with a twist. She stated that the exercise helps develop core strength and endurance, and also strengthens the abs, especially the rectus and transverse abdominis muscles. In addition, the plank trains the shoulder and back muscles, hip muscles, gluteal muscles and the front of the thigh.
To perform it, you need to take a plank position with your arms straight. In this case, the body should stretch in a straight line from head to heels. From this position, while inhaling, you need to lift your right hand off the floor and stretch it to the side. Then you need to turn your body to the right until your right arm is perpendicular to the floor and in line with your left shoulder.
