In the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Anaheim Ducks, a massive brawl occurred. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The incident occurred in the third period near the Chicago gate. At least eight hockey players took part in the fight, including Russian Anaheim defender Pavel Mintyukov. Both goalkeepers were also involved in the brawl.
As a result of the clash, Mintyukov received a minor penalty – 2 minutes. Other players were given 2, 10 and 15 minute penalties.
The meeting ended with a score of 7:2 in favor of Chicago. Anaheim has earned 49 points in 65 games and is seventh in the Pacific Division. Chicago is in last eighth place in the Central Division standings with 41 points from 66 matches. Both teams play in the Western Conference.
