SE: Spartak will pay Guillermo Abascal 1.8 million euros in case of dismissal
The head coach of Spartak Moscow, Guillermo Abascal, is entitled to about 1.8 million euros if he is fired in the near future. This amount was named by “Sport-Express”.
This is how much Muscovites must pay the Spaniard until the end of the contract. It is designed until the beginning of summer 2025. However, it is possible that the conditions for terminating the contract may be different. This issue will be discussed in negotiations between Abascal’s side and the management of Spartak.
It was previously reported that the decision to resign Abascal had already been made. Former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov, Vladimir Ivich from Krasnodar and Braga coach Arthur Jorge are named as contenders for the post.
Abaskal will head Spartak in the summer of 2022. In the 2022/2023 season, the team led by the Spaniard became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship. After 20 rounds of the current national championship, the club is in sixth position.
