Torpedo coach Larionov said he was disappointed with the exit from the Gagarin Cup
Head coach of Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo Igor Larionov spoke about the club’s elimination from the Gagarin Cup at the 1/8 final stage. His comment is quoted by Match TV.
Larionov called the series with SKA good, but, in his opinion, the players lacked freshness. “I praised them in the locker room for the dedication, for the thirst they showed in the match today and throughout the series. Of course, we were disappointed with the season, we wanted to move on. But this is a sport, this is hockey,” the coach said.
In the 1/8 finals of the Gagarin Cup, Torpedo played with SKA. The St. Petersburg club turned out to be stronger with a score of 4-1.
Earlier, four more teams advanced to the next stage of the playoffs. In the Western Conference, Spartak Moscow and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl continue to fight, in the Eastern Conference – Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg and Avangard Omsk.
