Vladimir Putin agreed that the Olympic Games without Russians are losing a lot
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the Olympic Games without Russians. His words are reported by TASS.
One of the participants in the conversation at the new Sambo Palace in Krasnodar shared her opinion that without Russia’s participation, the Olympic Games are not the Olympic Games, and the World and European Championships are local competitions. “It is so,” said the head of state, agreeing that competitions without Russians lose a lot.
Earlier, Putin instructed the Ministry of Sports and the Russian Olympic Committee to formulate proposals for the participation of Russian athletes in the Summer Games in Paris.
Russians and Belarusians will be able to take part in the 2024 Olympics as individual neutral athletes by decision of the International Olympic Committee. However, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will miss the tournament. In addition, there will be no representatives of team sports in Paris.
