Tennis player Medvedev said he is ready to play in a neutral status at the 2024 Olympic Games

The fourth racket of the world Daniil Medvedev spoke about the admission of Russian tennis players to the Olympic Games in 2024. His comment is quoted by Reuters.

Medvedev said that he was ready to play in the Olympic Games in a neutral status. “If I can, I will perform. I will play singles and doubles. I had an amazing experience in Tokyo,” he shared.

On March 6, the International Tennis Federation decided to admit Russians and Belarusians to the Games in Paris in a neutral status. Athletes will be able to compete in singles and three doubles.

Russians and Belarusians will be able to take part in the 2024 Olympics as individual neutral athletes by decision of the International Olympic Committee. However, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will miss the tournament. In addition, there will be no representatives of team sports in Paris.
