Russian Kucherov lost the lead in the NHL scoring race to Canadian MacKinnon
Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Kucherov lost the lead in the National Hockey League (NHL) scoring race. Statistics are available on the league website.
The forward was removed from the first line of the rating by Colorado Avalanche defender Nathan MacKinnon. In the match against the Detroit Red Wings, the Canadian scored a goal and three assists. Thus, having scored 109 points, he beat the Russian with 105 points.
30-year-old Kucherov played 62 matches this season, scoring 38 goals and making 67 assists. He has been playing for Tampa Bay since 2013. Together with the team, the Russian won the Stanley Cup twice.
MacKinnon, 28, has 40 goals and 69 assists in 64 games in the 2023/2024 season. He has represented Colorado since 2013. He won the Stanley Cup with the club in 2022.
