Sports.ru: figure skater Kamila Valieva is not excluded from the Russian national team
Figure skater Kamila Valieva, disqualified for four years for doping, has still not been excluded from the list of athletes included in the Russian national team. Sports.ru drew attention to this.
According to the order of the Ministry of Sports, federations must send a notice of the exclusion of such an athlete from the national team within 10 days from the date of the decision on disqualification. After this, the ministry publishes information about changes in the composition of the team within five days. At the moment there is no such information on the Ministry of Sports website.
Earlier, Lawyer Anna Antseliovich warned Valieva against participating in the ice show in China. According to her, it would be safe for a Russian woman to perform only in completely commercial shows.
On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules. The period of suspension is counted from the moment a positive test for trimetazidine is taken – December 25, 2021.
