Ronaldo wished good luck to Russian boxer Kurbanov before the championship fight
Al-Nasr and Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo wished good luck to Russian boxer Magomed Kurbanov in the fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) world title. This was reported by a Russian, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to Kurbanov, he talked with the football player in Riyadh during a tour of the new gym. “While we were walking to the gym, we talked about fights, weight cutting, and so on. I asked if he would ever get into the ring. He said: “No, I’m just playing,” the boxer said.
The Russian will meet with Israil Madrimov from Uzbekistan on March 8. The WBA junior middleweight title will be on the line. Kurbanov had 25 fights in his professional career, in which he scored 25 victories.
Ronaldo signed a three-year contract with Al Nasr in 2022. He became the highest paid athlete in the world by the end of 2023.
