Lawyer Anna Antseliovich warned Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, disqualified for four years, from participating in an ice show in China. Her words are quoted by VseProSport.
According to her, it would be safe for a Russian woman to perform only in completely commercial shows. “If there is any support from the state, one of the co-organizers, for example, or an information partner is the sports department, then such participation is prohibited,” she emphasized.
Antseliovich also spoke about the sanctions that Valieva may face. “For violations of the terms of disqualification, a new period of disqualification should be assigned, equal to the one she had,” she noted.
On March 4, Valieva said that she would take part in an ice show in China and play the main role there. “The rest of the action will happen around me,” added the 17-year-old figure skater.
On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules. The period of suspension starts from the moment the positive sample is taken – December 25, 2021.
