Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva will take part in an ice show in China
Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva spoke about her professional plans. Her words are quoted by TASS.
The athlete announced that she would take part in an ice show in China and play the main role there. “The rest of the action will take place around me,” added 17-year-old Valieva.
On February 9, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency assessed the legitimacy of Valieva’s participation in ice shows. In their opinion, if certain organizations are involved in the organizers of the show, a violation of the terms of disqualification may occur, which could lead to a doubling of the sanction period.
On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified Valieva for four years. The period of suspension is counted from the moment the sample is taken – December 25, 2021. The fact that traces of the banned drug trimetazidine were found in it became known after the end of the team tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games, where the Russian team won gold.
