Spartak footballer Quincy Promes was sent under house arrest in the UAE. This was reported by “Championship” with reference to the NRC.

On February 29, Promes was detained at border control at Dubai airport due to an accident that occurred in the UAE and leaving the scene of the accident. The player was taken to the police station and was accompanied by red-and-white security officers. On March 1, he was released from custody.

On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes in absentia to six years in prison.
