Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev was disqualified during the semi-final match at the ATP-500 series tournament in Dubai. Sports.ru reports this.
During a meeting with the representative of Kazakhstan, Alexander Bublik, Rublev insulted the line referee for making a decision that was not in his favor. He called the judge a moron and used an obscene word in Russian. After this, another lineman, who speaks Russian, conveyed Rublev’s words to the judge on the tower. As a result, the Russian was removed from the match.
At the time of the incident, the score was 6:7, 7:6, 6:5 in favor of Bublik. Rublev lost the prize money he earned at the tournament and his ranking points. He will drop to sixth place in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings.
During the 1/4 finals of the Australian Open against Italian Jannik Sinner, Rublev was rude to a fan. He sent the fans to hell.
