Pogba suspended for doping

Juventus footballer Paul Pogba was banned for four years for doping

Juventus footballer Paul Pogba was disqualified for violating anti-doping rules. La Repubblica reports this.

The 30-year-old midfielder was suspended for four years. It is noted that the court did not believe the defense version of the accidental intake of the substance.

Pogba’s failed doping test became known in September 2023. It was reported that testosterone metabolites were found in a sample taken from the Frenchman on August 20 after the first round match of the Italian Championship. Sample B, like sample A, gave a positive result.

Pogba returned to Juventus from Manchester United in July 2022. He signed a contract with the team for which he played from 2012 to 2016 as a free agent. Together with Juventus, the Frenchman became the champion of Italy four times, won the Cup twice and the country’s Super Cup three times. The midfielder also became the 2018 world champion as part of the French national team.
