Dominik Hasek said he was glad that the Czech Republic was not included in the Four Nations Tournament
Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek was glad that the Czech national team did not qualify for the Four Nations Tournament organized by the National Hockey League (NHL). His words are quoted by “Championship”.
Hasek said that the tournament is an advertisement for the NHL, in which Russian players continue to play. In his opinion, the league is responsible for the PR of the Russians, which means that the Czechs will not play at the Four Nations Tournament is good.
The tournament will take place in February 2025 in Canada and the USA. NHL players from Canada, Finland, Sweden and the USA will take part in it.
Since February 2022, Hasek has been actively advocating sanctions against Russian athletes. He called on NHL executives to resign because of their position on Russia.
