The Russian football player spoke about visiting Kadyrov’s residence

Footballer Lebedenko said that he was shocked by the scale of Kadyrov’s residence

Moscow Torpedo football player Igor Lebedenko spoke about visiting the residence of the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov. His words are quoted by Sport Express.

Lebedenko admitted that the scale of Kadyrov’s residence shocked him. “Golf carts, a lot of gold—reminiscent of the United Arab Emirates. There’s even a mini-zoo! Still before my eyes, like Stanislav Salamovich [Черчесов] walked up to the cage with the lion and said: “Hush, hush, I’m the same,” the footballer recalled.

Answering the question how often Kadyrov had contact with the players, Lebedenko noted that the head of the republic gathered the team before the start of the season, introduced the newcomers, gave them jerseys and souvenirs, and sometimes organized dinners for them at the residence. After important matches, Kadyrov could appear in the locker room, but, despite the result, he communicated with the players positively and respectfully.

Lebedenko played for Terek from 2012 to 2017. In total, he played 147 matches for the club, in which he scored 21 goals and provided 14 assists. Cherchesov headed the Grozny club from 2011 to 2013. In 2017, Terek was renamed Akhmat in honor of the first president of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov.
