Russian biathlete Eduard Latypov took 12th place in the mass start at the World Cup in Annecy, France. The results are available on the website of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
The athlete avoided three penalties and was 49.3 seconds behind the leader. The winner was Emilien Jacquelin of France, who covered the distance in 35 minutes and 54.8 seconds with one penalty. Further on the podium were his compatriot Kenten Fillon-Maye and the Norwegian Tarjei Be.
Earlier on December 19, Russian biathlete Kristina Reztsova won an individual medal for the first time in her career, finishing third in the mass start at the World Cup in Annecy. The 25-year-old Russian woman won the bronze medal. The domestic biathlete lost to the Swede Elvira Oeberg, who took first place, and Julia Simon from France.
The next stage of the World Cup will take place in Oberhof, Germany. Competitions will be held from January 6 to 9, 2022.
