Mixed style (MMA) fighter Islam Makhachev sent a gift to the daughter of Alexander Volkanovski after her joke about the Russian. The Australian spoke about this on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned).
“Remember I talked about my dialogue with my daughter Ariana? So, Islam sent her gifts, I appreciate it, thank you!” – Volkanovski said in a video where he demonstrated gifts from Makhachev.
Volkanovski previously shared that his daughter is afraid of robbers. “I tell her: ‘When the door opens, I’ll be there. Everything is fine, don’t worry, everything will be sorted out.’ And she answers: “What if it’s Islam Makhachev?”,” he said.
On February 18, Volkanovski lost to Spaniard of Georgian origin Ilia Topuria in the main fight of UFC 298. He lost the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight title. In the previous fight in October 2023, he was knocked out by Makhachev.
