Russian biathlete Reztsova wins a mass start medal at the World Cup

Russian biathlete Kristina Reztsova won an individual medal for the first time in her career, finishing third in the mass start at the World Cup stage in Annecy, France. The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.

The 25-year-old Russian woman won the bronze medal. The domestic biathlete lost to the Swede Elvir Eberg, who took first place, and Julia Simon from France. The best result among Reztsova’s compatriots at the end of the race was shown by Ulyana Nigmatullina, who took seventh place.

Reztsova admitted on the air of Match TV that she was ready to cry after winning the first personal award. “Careers are now precisely divided into“ before ”and“ after ”. The coolest thing is that now I feel that I can fight in every race, ”she said.

Reztsova is the daughter of Olympic champion Anfisa Reztsova and coach Leonid Reztsov. In February 2021, she herself became a mother.
