Maxim Van Gils has won the victory in the only stage of this atypical Cycling Tour of Andalusia-Ruta del Sol with a time of 8 minutes and 17 seconds. The organization has been forced to suspend the rest of the stages due to not being able to guarantee the safety of the runners due to the lack of Civil Guard agents. Only one 5 kilometer time trial has been held in Warden (Jaen), after the suspension of the other four due to the effects of the farmers’ protests.

After this first and only stage, arriving on a steep slope with a final descent in the Calatravo Castle of Alcaudete, the podium was completed with second place Juan Ayusoof the UAE Team Emiratesand of Antonio Tiberiof the Team Bahrain Victorious.

The stages on Saturday and Sunday have also been suspended, as have the first two that were scheduled for last Wednesday and Thursday.
