Basque language: Jorge Azanza (Euskaltel-Euskadi): “Gonbidapen hau oso garrantzitsua da”

He Euskaltel-Euskadi considered the possibility of contesting the Tour of Spain 2024 and assured that the invitation received this Friday by the organizers “is everything” for the Basque squad.

“The team has been growing in recent years and is going to give us an important boost in sports. This has to help us to do our best in all competitions from now on to the Vuelta,” he highlighted. Jorge Azanzasports manager of the Euskaltel-Euskadi in statements released by the team.

The Navarrese added that the objective in the race that will begin on August 17 in Lisbon will be “to demonstrate the team we have, fight a stage and do it as best as possible as we have done in other editions.”

“It is a day of maximum happiness within the team. For all this we want to show our gratitude to Unipublic for its trust in us and our commitment will be to respond on the road,” says Azanza.

Since the new stage that began in 2018, it will be Euskaltel-Euskadi’s third participation in this competition after doing so in the 2021 and 2022 editions.

The sports group also highlights that this year there will be “extra motivation” for the team with the “one hundred percent Basque” stage that will be run. the 5th of September between Vitoria and the Izki Natural Park in Maeztu.
