Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has voiced a principled position for the club regarding unvaccinated players. Reported by the Daily Mail.
The 54-year-old said that the club would refuse to sign contracts with unvaccinated players. He noted that while getting athletes to do something is problematic, within the transfer market, many players without vaccination will face problems in finding a new team.
Klopp is convinced that an unvaccinated player is a threat to the entire team. “Yes, he doesn’t want to be a threat. Of course, such a footballer does not think that he does not care about everyone, but he is nevertheless dangerous, ”he added.
At the moment, three Liverpool players may be infected with the coronavirus. Virgil Van Dijk, Fabinho and Curtis Jones have already missed the match against Newcastle.
Klopp advocates vaccination against COVID-19. He considers vaccination to be obligatory from the point of view of human morality.
