The Paraguayan Football Association agreed on the match with Russia with UEFA and COMNEBOL
The Secretary General of the Paraguayan Football Association, Luis Kanonnikoff, announced the agreement of a friendly match with Russia with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to him, the negotiations went without problems. He also noted that the Paraguayan national team plans to play in the match with the strongest squad.
The meeting will take place on March 25 in Moscow at the VTB Arena stadium. Four days earlier, the Russian team will play against Serbia at the same stadium.
On February 28, 2022, FIFA and UEFA excluded Russian national teams and clubs from international tournaments. Teams do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team lost the opportunity to compete for access to the final part of the 2022 World Cup and does not participate in the Euro 2024 qualifications.
