Panzhinsky called Bolshunov the most Russian skier suffering from suspension

Olympic silver medalist in cross-country skiing Alexander Panzhinsky named the Russian skier who suffers the most from the exclusion of athletes from international competitions. His words are quoted by Match TV.

According to him, this is three-time winner of the Games Alexander Bolshunov. “He lacks external stimuli – Johannes Klebo, the Norwegians. It is the lack of international starts that is the biggest loss for him,” Panzhinsky said.

The athlete noted that other Russian skiers suffer less from the suspension. “They follow Bolshunov and look up to him,” Panzhinsky added.

Earlier, the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, shared her opinion on the attitude of foreigners towards Russian tournaments. In her opinion, foreigners watch Russian competitions and are jealous.
