The new Info spot caused great controversy. The promotional material featured, among others, the current government officials, who emphasize their satisfaction with the fact that they can finally appear regularly in the public media. This was not possible during the PiS term.
TVP apologizes for the promotional spot
In addition to Bronisław Komorowski, Robert Biedroń and Radosław Sikorski, journalist Jacek Nizinkiewicz appeared in the recording and expressed dissatisfaction with the use of his image to promote TVP Info.
“Dear TVP Info, no one asked me about using my image in the spot. If you had asked, I wouldn’t have agreed. Especially since I don’t want to appear in spots with politicians. I was on TVP after changing it once, because of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Please delete me out of this spot!” – he appealed to the station on the X portal.
Nizinkiewicz will disappear from the TVP Info spot
Nizinkiewicz said in an interview with “Presserwise” that the TVP management promised him to change the spot. The station apologized to the journalist for the error. “They admitted that they made a mistake and apologized. I was also assured that my statement would be removed from the spot,” the journalist revealed.
Additionally, Nizinkiewicz emphasized that he usually refuses when he is invited to TVP and Polish Radio programs because he agrees with the opinion that the changes in the public media were introduced illegally. He was even more uncomfortable with the fact that his face was used to promote a new reality on TVP. He emphasized that his presence in one of the TVP programs was an exception. The journalist wanted to express his satisfaction that WOŚP hearts are no longer censored on public television. This is one of the changes he happens to support.
