After the fall, Shvetsova was unable to complete her free skate at the tournament in Kirov. The skater fell from a triple flip and hit her head on the ice. The athlete could not get up for some time, but eventually left the ice.
On January 24, during the All-Russian competition for the prizes of the President of the FFKKM, figure skater Maria Simonova hit her head on the ice at a tournament in Moscow. Simonova’s 17-year-old partner Martin Breslavsky was unable to hold her during support, causing the skater to fall and suffer a head injury.
