Thefts in players’ homes or attacks in the street have been a real scourge in recent years. The attackers are so bold that such attacks often occur even in broad daylight. Recently, such situations have happened, among others, in Paris and Manchester. Competitors do not feel safe and are often forced to hire extra security to look after themselves and their families.

For years, however, Naples has been the site of the greatest number of attacks on footballers. Such unpleasant situations have been encountered in recent years by, among others, Marek Hamsik, or A Pole was attacked a few years ago in one of the city’s streets and thus lost his watch.

Suddenly, out of the darkness emerged two individuals dressed in black sitting on a scooter. One of them was aiming a weapon. Unfortunately, it seems that little has changed in Naples in these few years. As reported by the daily “Corriere dello Sport” on Saturday afternoon another competitor – Adam Ounas – experienced moments of terror. The Algerian was mugged in front of his home around 1.30pm. The armed attackers waited for the footballer to close the garage door, then ran to him and held a gun to his head.

In this way, the thieves forced Ounas to give them back all the money he had with him and a watch worth around 4.5 thousand euros. The local police were informed about the whole case, and they immediately started an investigation. Despite this unpleasant experience, Ounas went with the Napoli team to an away match against Milan. This meeting will start tomorrow at 20:45.
