Olympic cross-country champion Stupak calls head problems a bonus
Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Yulia Stupak responded to reproaches from the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe for problems with her head. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
Stupak called problems with her head a bonus given to her from above, and emphasized that she was not offended by Vyalbe’s words. “Really, we are like children to her. But, as they say, apparently, every family has its black sheep. I’ll take on the role of a person with problems with his head,” the athlete shared.
On February 9, Vyalbe said that Stupak had problems with her head. In her opinion, if she does not correct them, this will be her last season, and the athlete will have to look for another job. Previously, Stupak failed to reach the final of the sprint in the classical style at the Spartakiad.
Stupak is the 2022 Olympic relay champion. She is also a three-time World Championships medalist.
