“Milan confirms that Mike Maignan had an arthroscopy today, which identified a ligament injury in his left wrist, which was repaired. A percutaneous pedicle screw was also fixed to the scaphoid bone in her wrist due to a vascular problem,” says the text.
“The operation, performed at the La Madonnina clinic by Dr. Loris Pegoli, in the presence of the club’s doctor, Dr. Stefano Mazzoni, was a perfect success. He will rest for six weeks before starting the rehabilitation process. Maignan is expected to be out of action for ten weeks,” added the club.
Hired to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, who moved to PSG for free, the 26-year-old French goalkeeper had the injury announced on Tuesday. With the embezzlement, coach Stefano Pioli is expected to recruit Ciprian Tatarusanu, an experienced Romanian, in the coming months.
Deputy leader of the Italian Championship, Milan returns to the field on Saturday, at 15:45 (GMT), when they face Verona at the San Siro Stadium. The match is valid for the 8th round of the competition.
