What is paid for the electricity or electricity bill depends on several factors: the power that has been contracted, the kilowatts consumed, the market itself with its speculative component and taxes.
As for the levies, these are the taxes that are paid on the electricity bill:
-The electricity tax for which citizens pay a 5% tax and is applied to the sum of power and consumption.
-The second corresponds to the tax on electricity generation that is levied on 7% of electricity production. The electricity companies are the ones that take charge of this tax, although in practice the cost ends up passing to consumers through an increase in the rate.
-The VAT which, except when it is temporarily reduced, is 21%.
