Olympic champion Stupak in response to Vyalbe’s reproach: everything is fine with motivation
Olympic champion Yulia Stupak responded to the reproaches of the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe for problems with her head. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The athlete stated that she did not have time to prepare for the Spartakiad, as she did not have enough time after recovering from illness, and she was only able to train for three weeks. “I don’t even want to answer the question about motivation. Everything is fine, it’s not about international competitions anymore,” she thought.
Earlier on February 9, Vyalbe said that Stupak had problems with her head. In her opinion, if she does not correct them, this will be her last season, and the athlete will have to look for another job.
Prior to this, Stupak was unable to reach the final of the sprint in the classical style at the Spartakiad. Anastasia Faleeva won the competition.
Stupak is the 2022 Olympic relay champion. She is also a three-time World Championships medalist.
