One of the most important Italian music festivals is underway – in Sanremo. However, Italians do not live by music alone. World-famous stars come to Sanremo, not necessarily directly related to music, but undoubtedly related to Italy.
Each day of the festival broadcast on Rai TV is a gigantic show, a combination of music and dance performances, talks and conferences. This year, Sanremo was visited by, among others: Russell Crowe, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Bob Sinclar and… , whose presence ended in a scandal. But first he was cruelly mocked.

Travolta was a special guest on the second day of the festival. After a short conversation at the Ariston Theater, where the performances take place, the actor was asked to dance the iconic dance. Travolta danced with Amadeus (the festival host, an Italian radio and TV presenter), but then he was not allowed to return to his seat. He was asked to walk among the audience to the rhythm of “Saturday Night Fever”, which ended with him being taken in front of the Theater, where an idiotic orange cap was placed on his head and… he was told to dance the well-known “Ducklings” – a favorite dance of children in Italy. .
Travolta first threw his hat on the ground, but since it was being broadcast live on TV, he couldn’t make a big deal. His expression shows that he really wanted to do this. He danced “Ducklings” with a straight face (but he wasn’t happy) and then, backstage, he forced Rai Italia to delete the recording and banned it from being shown in reruns. The scandal with John Travolta does not end there
Theoretically, this should be the end of the matter. , thanks to which the recording is circulating on the Internet and soon everyone will see it. His outrage became the leitmotif of the following days of the festival. Eros Ramazzotti talked about him, asking the host Amadeus if he would make him dance “Ducklings” too. Teresa Mannino, an Italian comedian, said she was outraged by the behavior of Travolta, who – “like an American colonist – forces anything on a country that is not his colony”. Finally, Travolta’s colleague Russell Crowe also spoke.
Crowe was the guest on the third night. Mannino’s host asked him why he didn’t have an Italian surname, since he had Italian roots – just like his colleagues, Di Caprio, De Niro…
