Sport24: the plane with Tarasova and the skaters rolled off the runway in Saransk
The plane carrying figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova and the skaters had an accident. The aircraft skidded off the runway in Saransk, abruptly turning into a mountain of snow. Sport24 writes about this.
Also on board were Alexey Tikhonov, Svetlana Sokolovskaya, commentator Alexander Grishin, and employees of Channel One, who flew to the city to work at the Russian Junior Championships.
As Tarasova reported to RIA Novosti, passengers could not leave the plane for at least 30 minutes, while airport services cleared the snow. According to one of the passengers, everyone left the plane safely.
Earlier, a video of a Russian Tu-204 mail plane rolling off the runway at the Mirny airport appeared online. It was specified that the plane landed with almost a tailwind of three meters per second and visibility of 2000 meters. On board were five people and 17 tons of mail and cargo. None of the people in the cabin were injured, and the aircraft was also not damaged.
