An ex-football player of Dynamo Kyiv was eliminated in the SVO zone

Ex-football player of Dynamo Kyiv Rozhok, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was liquidated in the Northern Military District zone

In the zone of a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, football player Sergei Rozhok was eliminated. This was reported by the Strana publication with reference to the Football Association of Ukraine.

The athlete who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was 37 years old. He was a graduate of Dynamo Kyiv, also played for Slavutich, CSKA Kiev, Kharkov, Obolon, Minsk. The midfielder played for the Ukrainian U17 national team and the Ukrainian U21 youth team. His last sports trophy was the Cup of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

The portal Slavutych.info clarifies that a fighter with the call sign “Football” died on January 23 during artillery and mortar shelling in the Lugansk region.

In April 2023, 42-year-old Ukrainian rowing champion Alexander Dikiy was killed in the Northern Military District zone. The athlete who fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces trained in Kyiv at the Vodnik rowing base.
