Asier Martínez returns with victory and personal best in Val-de-Reuil

The Navarrese Asier Martínez He returned almost a year after doing so for the last time to an international competition at the L’Eure indoor track meeting in Val-de-Reuil (France) and did so with a victory in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 7.49 secondspersonal best.
Asier Martínez had not competed internationally since February 11, 2023 in Paris. Since then he alone won the Spanish Championship in February of that year and in December a competition in Pamplona, in which he ran the 60 meter hurdles in 7.85 and suffered from some discomfort in his left oblique.
The Navarrese athlete was the fastest of the two series. In his he won with a time of 7.53 ahead of Frenchman Pascal Martinot-Lagarde, who recorded 7.72.
