Figure skater Maria Simonova, who hit her head on the ice at a tournament in Moscow, will spend two days in the hospital. Details about the health of the 14-year-old athlete became known to RIA Novosti.
General Director of the Moscow Figure Skating Federation Nina Moser said that Simonova’s condition is stable. “According to the results of the X-ray and computed tomography, I emphasize that she has no serious health problems. An examination is underway, doctors are monitoring her condition,” she said.
Moser also noted that the skater remembers everything. Thus, she refuted the earlier information that Simonova partially lost her memory as a result of the fall.
On January 24, Simonova, performing in tandem with 17-year-old Martin Breslavsky, was hospitalized after completing a short program. The duo received 42.51 points for the rental.
