The Mallorca Challengethe test that traditionally opens the professional road cycling season in the Spanish State, It competes in its 2024 edition, the 33rd in its history, from this Wednesday, January 24, until Sunday, the 28th.
The test, as usual, puts into play five races known as “trophies”, that is, five one-day races. Euskaltel Euskadi, Caja Rural and Kern Pharma will be on the starting line, in addition to eight UCI WorldTeam category teams.
Among the participants, the presence of Oier Lazkano (Movistar), Igor Arrieta (UAE Emirates), Aleksandr Vlasov (Bora hansgrohe), Mikel Landa (Soudal-Quick Step), Ion and Gorka Izagirre (Cofidis), Markel Beloki (EF Education) stands out -Easypost), Arnaud Démare (Arkea), Jon Aberasturi and Víctor de la Parte (Euskaltel Euskadi) and Antonio Jesús Soto (Kern Pharma).
