American UFC fighter Sean O’Malley spoke about his fear of Islam Makhachev
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley assessed the performance of the promotion’s lightweight champion belt holder Islam Makhachev. The athlete spoke out on his YouTube channel.
The American admitted that he was afraid of the Russian. “Once I had a nightmare that I had to fight Makhachev. I woke up thinking how cool Islam is. He’s really on another level,” O’Malley said.
Makhachev fought 26 fights, in which he scored 25 victories, suffering only one defeat. The Russian tops the UFC rankings regardless of weight categories.
Last August, O’Malley fought the first title fight of his career, in which he knocked out compatriot Aljamain Sterling. The American has 17 victories and one defeat in fights according to MMA rules.
