UFC head White doubted McGregor’s return to the Octagon in June 2024
The head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White answered a question about the return of the Irish mixed style fighter (MMA) Conor McGregor. He spoke about this at a press conference after the UFC 297 tournament, a recording of which is available on the promotion’s YouTube channel.
White doubted that McGregor would return to the Octagon in June 2024. “I don’t know if a fight in June is possible. When Conor is ready to fight, we will announce it,” he said.
On December 31, McGregor announced that he would return to the Octagon. The Irishman plans to fight American Michael Chandler at the UFC tournament on June 29.
McGregor had his last fight in the summer of 2021, losing to American Dustin Poirier by technical knockout. The 35-year-old Irishman is a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion. In total, he has 28 fights, in which he won 22 victories and suffered six defeats.
