After the strike on the market and other areas on January 21 in Donetsk, 28 people were killed and another 30 were injured. The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin announced this on Telegram.
“In total, 28 people were killed today, 30 residents of the region were injured,” he noted and added that as a result of shelling in the Kuibyshev region, one man died and another was injured.
Also, two teenagers, 16 and 17 years old: a boy and a girl, were admitted to the children’s clinical hospital with shrapnel wounds. Their condition is stable and of moderate severity, Pushilin specified.
He added that after the shelling, 11 residential buildings were damaged in the Kirovsky and Kuibyshevsky districts of the capital, the Central City and Kalininsky districts of Gorlovka, the Central City and Kirovsky districts of Makeyevka, as well as nine civilian infrastructure facilities in Petrovsky (school), Kirovsky (market, shopping center , shop) districts of Donetsk, Nikitovsky (school, two power lines), Kalininsky (boiler room, gas pipeline) districts of Gorlovka. Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeevka, and Yasinovatsky district were under fire.
Earlier it was reported that 25 people were killed after the strike on the market, another 20 people were injured, including two children. Pushilin noted that there are also seriously wounded, and many have penetrating wounds in the area of vital organs, traumatic amputation of limbs. The footage distributed by Telegram channels showed that after the strike the street was strewn with the bodies of the dead and wounded, with blood and debris everywhere.
