Tutberidze said that she did not immediately decide to become the host of a reality show about weight loss
Honored figure skating coach of Russia Eteri Tutberidze spoke about how she agreed to become the host of the reality show “Big Girls” on the Friday TV channel. Her words are quoted by TASS.
Tutberidze said that she did not immediately decide to become a mentor in the program. “The decisive factor was the realization that this project has a chance to help not only the participants, but also the audience: it will inspire some, motivate others to choose the best for themselves and their bodies,” the coach noted.
Earlier it became known that as part of the project, 13 participants weighing over 100 kilograms will try to change their lives by losing weight. The reality starts on February 9.
Tutberidze gained fame thanks to her work with singles skaters. Among her students are Olympic champions Yulia Lipnitskaya, Alina Zagitova and Anna Shcherbakova, as well as silver medalists of the Games Evgenia Medvedeva and Alexandra Trusova. In addition, the coach works with European champion Kamila Valieva.
